What is your opinion on the dance of joy?
27.September, 2011
Do you think it is a dance to express your joy or a dance that brings joy to other people?
what in the world are u talking about?
a little too much crack for u huh?
Why do Atheist people find joy in attacking small christian children?
13.September, 2011
so priests are atheists?
Christians, why do devoted Buddhists experience a kind of peace and joy similar to believers in Christ?
10.September, 2011
Is it a lower level peace and joy that the Buddhists are actually experiencing? Or is it an illusion?
there are many ways to experience peace and joy……for awhile….the only lasting satisfaction is in Christ Jesus. Followers of Buddha haven’t come to term with their sinfulness from what i have seen.
I have a book report and i need to pick a book from this list. Please help me decide!?

BTW it can’t be a book that has been made into a play so no shakespear
Wow, you inputted all of these and you still can’t decide.
I don’t blame you. There are some great books there. Also some not so great, and I see your
teacher does not approve of Science Fiction for an education. Pity that, but that is how SHE was trained so that is how YOU will be trained.
I would go with Moby Dick. It is considered the first truly "American" novel. You can also find a lot of material on it on the web, which should make all that analysis stuff you have to do easier. It is also a good book and a good adventure story.
What is it that causes us to partake of the Divine Nature of God which is given unto us by precious promises?
03.September, 2011
What is God’s Divine Nature?
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of The Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2Peter 1:4
Interestingly, the word for "Nature" is φύσις (phusis)
- growth (by germination or expansion), i.e. (by implication) natural production (lineal descent);
- by extension, a genus or sort;
- figuratively, native disposition, constitution or usage;
(( **Side Note**….this Greek word used for Nature, is also the name of what the greeks honored as the goddess of Nature….Phusis….and from which we get the word "Physis"…..also said to have no parents as He/She emerged at the beginning of time… )
This is NOT to mix greek mythology with the bible, but to show how the bible gives meaning and definition to everything else so we can clearly partake of the TRUE Divine "Phusis" of God ….Jerusalem Above "Mother of us all" ! *smiles* (Gal. 4:26)
~~~~~~Bonus Material =) Exceeding great and oprecious promises (= If you have time~~~~~~
The timing of the wording "Having Escaped" is a present tense action based on a past tense action (the CROSS(ing)….Is this why we ‘escape corruption’ in "real time" when we mix faith with His Everlasting Promises which result in Everlasting Joy ?
"Whom having not seen, YOU LOVE; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and FULL OF GLORY:" 1Peter 1:8
Are these also a few of the exceeding great and precious promises which the beloved Apostle Peter was referring to?
"And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall OBTAIN JOY AND GLADNESS, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."
Isaiah 35:10
" Therefore the redeemed (past tense) of the LORD shall return (future tense), and come with singing (Present Tense: ) UNTO ZION; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away." Isaiah 51:11
Did the beloved writer of Hebrews mention this present tense action here also….
"But YOU ARE COME unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
AND TO JESUS the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaksh better things than that of Abel.
Hebrews 12:22
What are your thoughts dear ones, on how we ARE COME unto ZION ?
What does it mean to partake of His Divine Nature, and How glorious is it that we "Having Escaped"….we "ARE COME "(With Singing)" unto ZION"…. ?
Bonus Q: What are these wonderful Songs of Zion, which help us to return to our Chief Joy ?
For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land? If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not JERUSALEM ABOVE my chief joy.
Psalms 137:3 - 6
"But JERUSALEM which is ABOVE is free, which is the MOTHER of us ALL." Galatians 4:26
Much Love be unto you ALL… and may we learn what it means to partake of these "Exceeding Great" and "Precious Promises"by the Grace of our Lord Jesus = (Yehova IS Salvation) ! *smiles*
(((Hasse_j))) Amen to that….He is the True Life of us all…and He is our sabbath rest ! : )
Lifesharer: Just so there is no mistake about it…. Divine in this conext is θει̑ος (theios)
- godlike (neuter as noun, divinity): - divine, godhead.;
and "Nature" is already expounded upon in the Q…. I sure hope you do not sell truth to buy a lie….it is not a fair exchange…. : )
Here is another description of this partaking : ) For they verily for a few days chastened [us] after their own pleasure; but he for [our] profit, that [we] might be partakers of HIS HOLINESS. Heb 12:10
One other thing to clarify…is that the first adam became a living soul….and the LAST ADAM (the New Creation Man) became a Quickening Spirit (for God is Spirit)
"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made A QUICKENING SPIRIT." 1Corinthians 15:45
And yes we should watch for cults and groups that have a form of godliness, yet DENY the POWER thereof : )
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Timothy 3:5
If HE called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the Scripture cannot be broken; John 10:35
Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blaspheme; because I said, I am the Son of God? Jn 10:36
Isn’t Jesus, the Son of God, awesome… and His Truth perfectly clear ?
Much love to you (Lifesharer…and thanks for sharing:) and to ALL : )
(((bwlobo:))) thank you for sharing dear one: )
God can see into the future of His firstborn Son to create everything through him. Adam was an image of Jesus. Something to grasp.
