Nothing offends us either.

Because of the hope that is within me!

We notice that ‘joy’ is one of the fruit of the spirit.

What helps that joy to be in evidence in your life,
or to grow further in your life?

Personally, joy is an inner phenomenon. Genuine joy, I find, is unconditional - independent of situation/circumstance. To be solidly standing on the Rock of Life, watching and praying to ensure a closeness to the Lord (knowing where I am in relation to Him), and knowing that the Lord is presently leading me to a greater degree, brings joy to the forefront regardless of personal attacks from various worldly/fleshly factions - from within and without.

Meditation upon how the Lord Jesus has led and is leading me to make transformational personal changes whereby I am no longer recognizable as the person I was, is thrilling and brings the power of joy surging to the forefront of my consciousness,

Overcoming personal demons and blood family roots of dysfunction have my new spirit from Jesus resonating within me. Joy is also about entering into a dimension of gratitude, where my new spirit is teeming with thanksgiving to Christ Jesus for making participation in this operation of God possible.

Joy is a higher awareness of that cloud of witnesses, rejoicing along with all those over-comers in Christ. The genuine follower of Christ is never actually alone, without fellowship or comfort.

Embracing the goodness from situations of otherwise depressing magnitudes can be so profoundly and pervasively rewarding, that the spiritual energy thereof seems boundless and actually redeeming of these dark depressing spells in these present times.

Great joy is derived from the experience of being extricated from my blood family (unconverted unrepentant family tree - ties that truly bind) and godless associations that fed only the carnal nature. Such extrication became possible as the Lord Jesus made introduction to a fresh and new experience with a close and abiding relationship with authentic Bible-believers; a new family, this time based on the teachings of Christ.

Many of her remarks are quite offensive and rude when she talks about Christians.

The Huffy One is a termagant who earns a living by disrespecting the views of those she does not agree with. She is relentless in her sarcasm and nasty in her commentary. She is anti everything that is good.

You can search everywhere outside of God and will find nothing cause I been there. You can look for meaning in sex, drugs, pornography, Alcohol whatever and will never find what your looking for, and YOU KNOW IT!
We don’t hate, but desire you come along with us to heaven and not be lost.

Hello, Christians do not always have joy and peace of mind we also have sorrow, suffering and trials, just as everyone else, the difference is we can seek Christ Jesus for help, comfort and guidance, the peace is knowing Him and His forgiveness and that we are not and will never be alone….

What is the motivating source of a Christain’s true happiness? How can one find this Joy??

The Spirit of God that lives within our soul. With Jesus Christ we are completely transformed. All our sins are forgiven and the Lord replaces it with abounding joy!!

Yes it is, but you have to pursue it.

Joy and peace are part of what God offers us, but like anything else we have to take it up.

As a Christian I don’t always feel joyful or even peaceful - but that is up to me. I can choose to be negative, or I can choose to say well that is how I ‘feel’ but God hasn’t moved and joy and peace are still there for me and all I need to do is trust Him to see that they are outworked in my life.

I have often taught, ‘what you hear, is what you see, is what you do’ - in other words if you have negative thoughts e.g. I am a failure, then that is what you will see yourself as and that is what you will become.

I once tried this as an experiment - I was going on a motorway journey with my family - husband and I had just disagreed on something and I began telling myself I was useless etc. Believe me about half way through the journey I really believed this and felt distraught - a lesson learned the hard way.

Psalm 34:14 - ‘Seek peace and pursue it’ Psalm 16:11 ‘In your presence is fullness of joy’.

I know it is a reference to Luke 15, but cant find the lyrics. Anyone know name of the song?
some lyrcs.. "there is joy in the presence of angels when one sinner does repent…. joy joy joy in heaven today"

thanks,

Our deepest relationship is with Him, and it is a relationship that is never-ending and always faithful. The secular person may wonder what this relationship feels like. It is an enduring experience of the sublime. Have you ever had a moment with someone you love in which you are transported into a transcendent realm that seems somehow outside space and time? Ordinarily, such experiences are rare and never last for long. For the Christian, the sublime is part of everyday life. Milton terms this a joy surprising Eden, “a paradise with thee, happier far.”

I used to be an atheist and I wanted to commit suicide because I saw no point in life, but now I feel like there’s always someone here for me. Has anyone else had such a dramatic change in life after accepting Christ into their life?

Yes, so much joy. :)

I believe they are, where Paul in Romans talks about people’s meat and drink not godly if it isn’t Joy, Peace and Righteousness being the basis of spreading the Gospel. To be bearers of Good News believing Christians don’t need to mince the Words of God the Father where their meat needs to be godly, and the above characteristics are the supreme foods. Without the above characteristics their meat would become rotten and stink within their tomb. (My knowledge and Trinity beliefs and Holy Bible.)

Be careful of judging others according to your own opinion.
It is not wrong to teach God’s Word, what’s wrong is to add, subtract, distort or manipulate it.
